Idle Quality
What does every one thing about the idle quality of their vz v6's? Does anyone else get the occaisional 'lump' at idle that they can feel in their seat etc or is it just me!? I find it very very annoying! Have felt it in neighbours xr6 turbo while idling too.

Yeah, I get the same thing but its not the smoothest of engines to begin with. At least its just the odd shake, as opposed to the ecotecs shake rattle and roll.

lol mate yeah i was going to say its not like my old vs where the whole time it was idleing you would get the lumps continuously then the occaisional lump like there was just an extra 20mm added to a cam lobe!

now now, play nice children! heh From what I've been reading lately, Holden having been working on the problems with the engine including idle feel and engine noise (something to do with the exhaust minfolds), and we'll see the results when the VE comes out. For now, you will all have to put up with it.

Yeah I have the same problem mine even twirps at me for about ten seconds before it goes away, seem to come from that ECU thingy but I could be wrong.

It won't bother me . I'm used to it my ol' modified Gen3 did that, nothing major . I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, when it "shakes" like a stroked/blown 350 chev then you should be worried .

It is annoying mine does it and i think its got a bit worse even had a passenger comment on it... if you bring the revs up to about 900 rpm its heaps better, but if you gently take the revs up to 4000rpm in neutral is randomly shakes along the way.. what the hell is it!! fuel or something maybe.. have no idea but would like to know. and yes, ive been thread digging!

it caused by the ecu its trying to lower the amount of fuel at idle till it goes to far. and adjust its self.
