Hi guys just a quick question relating to a quote i got from Pedders suspension in Campbell field VIC

i have a vz executive 06 and the strut tower upper bearings/bushes are now non existing and im also booked in for new pedders shocks
i was just wondering if my quote sounded right

4x Pedders lowered shock absorbs (car has been lowered 50mm)
2x front strut tower bearings/bushes

(I'm aware that ill need a wheel alignment but i want to let the shocks settle in before hand)

$820 fitted dose this sound correct ?

its booked in for the 9th of march (Saturday) so i have plenty of time to cancel if it sounds to pricey any thoughts ?

Sounds about right, depending on the struts/shocks being used

Aprox $100-150 per front strut
$70-120 per rear shock
$100 for strut top mounts + bearings
+ misc items such as new knuckle bolts
+ labour

Whats with the bull about letting the shocks "settle" in?? Will make no difference to your allignment. If it was new springs, maybe so, but not shockers.

Agreed, the struts and shocks won't settle, only new springs would. You should definitely get an alignment done in the same job... Should only be another $80 or so

Don't pay extra for the wheel alignment, get them to include it considering the prices they are already quoting.

Agree, w/allign should be part of the job, not extra.

They will do an aignment as soon as they touch the strut towers. $800 is about right. You could get Monroe gt's and strut tops and do it all yourself for about 350 - 450. But that all depends on if you're confident pulling appart your struts. They can be a bit of a headache if you've never pulled them appart before. But I'm sure there would be pleanty of guides on here.

I hope that quote is for sports rider shocks, or comfort gas at the very least. Thats about 500 parts plus labour

That's cheap mate, they quoted me $750 for sports rider shocks supply only.
