After restarting the car the fault disappeared and came back after about ten minutes driving. Perhaps theres a problem with the abs unit? I know esp using the brakes to work.with no code registered im not sure where to start looking

Would my abs affect my esp? Perhaps my bcm is losing connection with the abs creating an esp error?

update. when i purchased the vehicle the level air ride pump was disconnected, stopping the pump from burning out because the air-bags on the shocks look like they have had it.

bit the bullet to find out why esp failed was appearing. Holden said ''codes P1632 C0460 relating to the disconnection of the air pump. this is the reason for esp failed coming on all the time''.

will buy new air shocks and reconnect the pump. hopefully problem solved.

code P1632 - theft deterrent fuel disable signal received
code C0460 - steering position sensor malfunction

I'm still a little stumped as to how the air pump affects your steering position sensor and the fuel signal.....
