2005 V8 Adventra
To the adventra guys and gals.

I need nelp with my adventra. I had the bushes replaced last week. Much better now!!! But alas the link pins (strut to sway bar) were the nolathane universal type that were meant to be cut down. I have a feeling they guys did not cut them down, as a result the front suspension has no travel.

I was wondering if someone with a adventra could measure the lenghth of there link pin. So that i can compare the current one i have in there.

Cheers

330mm on my Cross 6 ute. (strut to sway bar)
Have I misunderstood what you are talking about, because I can't see how they could be cut down as there is ball joint type fitting at both ends.

They are, but need to be cut length.

One end is stuck solid to the rod, the other has a nut that you spin once cut and tighten that and the ball joint bit up to get the right length.

For a VZ Adventra Nolathane page says:
NOTES: IMPORTANT
Suits VZ models- universal cut to length ball/ball style link - must cut to 300mm

Just had mine replaced on my Cross 6, more preventitive maintenance than necessary maintenance.
OEM from Holden are not available - obsolete.
Mechanic refused to fit the "cut-off" ones and got a Kelpro set, same as originals, and I've kept the old ones, just in case.

Heads up with the threaded white line brand, one side snapped while driving off-road recently due to a weakness in the threaded rod.

Maybe time for some off road rose joint style ones :)
