Ive got a vibration starts at 1500 RPM and go's away at 2000 RPM
only dose it while driving, cant seem to simulate it in neutral.
seems to be coming from the engine and possibly feel it a bit worse when i turn the air on,
also seems a bit worse when engine is cold..

has it only just started doing it??

get under the car and try and move your drive shaft up and down. if its got movement then the rubber coupling or bearings have perished

That's the rev range which my ignition coils played up, normally right around the 1800 mark. Would have called it a miss rather than vibration if we are talking about the same thing.

I have the same symptoms did you find a solution?

and

http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...35-vz-sv6-engine-vibration-balance-issue.html

Both those threads are dealing with a similar issue. I'd love an answer myself.
Tying all the suggestions together:
Drive shaft rubber coupling? or bearing?
Ignition coils
Exhaust heat shields
Engine mount
Harmonic balancer

These are just from the threads I'm aware of.

I had vibration in my car when i accelerated from 20-30 km/h. After that it would stop. Turned out to be too much play in the universal joint but I had my whole drive shaft replaced. Try jacking the car and having a look underneath. Also it depends what kind of vibration you are getting to diagnose what it might be.
