Strange sound after oil change

hi guys,

After changing oil with 10W 50 a new sounds is coming out of the engine.
Any clues whats going on?
Its dont over 200K. Should I have put thicker oil in ?

Would a dud oil filter cause this noise ?

What sort of noise is it? Can you tell if its coming from the top or bottom of the engine and is it present under all conditions? Afraid im not farmiliar with the alloytec but id agree with hotrod in that the oil may be too thick for your newer style engine and its struggling to reach where its needed. A sound/video clip would be helpful though.

What engine is it? V6 or V8?

What kind of sound can we get a description?

That oil is fine, you don't need to change to 40.
Any clues to what type of noise? Knocking? Whirring? Squealing? Purring? Banging? Is it only at idle or also at higher revs?

Are you 100% sure the noise is new.

Some oils seem to bring out the lifter noise in LS V8 motors but without knowing what engine you have and what brand of oil you used, can't really say for sure.

How much oil did you put in, what level is showing on the dipstick?

Why don't you read your manual and put the correct viscosity oil in it??? Then it may not make strange noises.

after warming up approximately 2 minutes theres a deep clugging noise. There's also a white cream under the oil cap. V6
