Hi guys. Im new to the whole v8 scene (always had v6 and 4 bangers)

Im looking at supercharging my 6 litre.

What im wondering is how much will it generally cost me to put one (even if do it my self)
What do i need to do to the engine in preparation to the charger going on, and the pros and cons to charging it

cheers in advance :)

what do you want out of the engine? more low down torque or top end power?
what is your budget?
how good are you with tools?
what other modifications do you have? good exhaust, bigger brakes etc are a good idea.

i dont really have a budget ill pay what needs to be payed.
im after a bit more top end power ie more speed. mainly to beat a xr6t running 15 psi (my mates car gotta shut him up somehow)
yeah im not a master on the tools but i know what tools do what and how to use them
ive currantly got a 3inch exhaust (x-force, came with the car from john hughes dealership) on with pacemakers extractors
brakes are being looked at atm thinking of getting a slightly bigger rotor along with better brake calipers

3.3L Whipple Supercharger. You WILL need a bigger fuel pump along with bigger injectors and custom tuning.
Even doing the work yourself you will be in the 15K bracket easily.
