Replace front handbrake cable on a vz wagon

Hi folks,

Can anyone give me some pointers on replacing the front handbrake cable on a 2007 vz commodore wagon. The front cable sitts inside a metal tube that is screwed on the body of the car.

Do I have to remove the console or the carpet at the rear of the car to get to this???

Any help would be appreciated.

Had a look at the manual. There has to be an easier way other thasn removing the front seat and carpet. Any ideas???
