Fuel gauge issue need advice

Got a 2005 vz acclaim a few days ago and today I had my first issue with it. The analog and digital fuel gage can't make its mind up.

Started the car by getting greeted with no fuel but filled up the day before last

I drove for 30 minutes watching the dial go up to where it should be then back down and up again.

Very annoying low fuel, very low fuel, low fuel, silence and repeat

Any direction on why it's happening?

fuel sender is on its way out, replace pump/sender module will fix it, sounds like u have the backwards sender also so make sure u get the right one when replacing it...

I had the same problem. It turned out to be a software issue. Make sure it has latest version. Can be done at holde . Cost me 160

so in other words the calibration for the fuel system stooged up and they charged you to recalibrate it then bullshitted as to why.

Fuel sender is a big and expensive job. I think you need software update.
