So I have been spending the last few days suffering from exhaust that sounds like a tin can.
After removing the heat shields from my Cats (one of which came off after the most effortless wiggle) I have found another problem.
This:

Needless to say my muffler is kinda a bit stuffed.
Must have been a combination of old age and possibly scrapes.

So on to solutions:
- Find someone to weld it? (Not even sure if this is possible)
- Replace the whole part? (no idea what brand it is sadly and don't want to replace it with something that sounds like crap cos previously it actually sounded quite good!)
- Permatex Muffler & Tailpipe Putty? (But the crack might be too big?)
- Permatex Muffler & Tailpipe Bandage? (or maybe a combination of this AND putty?)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
NAAF maybe?

Yeh agreed, I suppose I was mostly looking to see if anyone had experience with the stuff and the quality/durability of it. Might just use it for a temporary fix till I can source an ideal replacement part.

Doesn't look like it has corroded. Like you say...been scraped and bumped into the ground and cracked where it's been flexing.
Can you just bump it back into place and tie a cut / rolled open coke can or similar over it with binding wire?

Oh, NAAF trolling forums to selling your STUFF . Mister " I am the answer" I suggest Ebay as an alternative source simply because there are bargains that pop up every now and then ! I don't troll forums to sell , I troll Ebay for good buys .
