ide say clogged pickup if it fixes itself after turning it off.all the blockage falls back off the pickup when you turn it off and has to recollect and block again

Sounds like no oil pressure, so as above, if it settles after turning of and then comes back, it is probably a blocked oil pickup. You are going to (if not already) spin a bearing etc if you keep running it. Post a picture of the bottom of the oil filler cap, and into the oil fill hole. Any sludge at all there??

Change the oil and do it again in a 1000 k or so and then do it again ,a couple of times every 1- 2000 k change filter each time , don't use a flush , this will hopefully clean out the old sludgy oil .

Yeah I wouldn't be driving it in that condition either mate, I know a few people that have had timing chain issues with them over 150000k's, get it checked out cause that sounds like it's doing some damage...just my 2 cents man.
