Alloytec Head Removal

Quick question: Do you have to take the camshafts out before you take the heads off or can you take them off with the camshafts in place?

Id say remove cams to remove head bolts

i took them off to get the 8 mm bolts at the front of the left hand bank

You do not 'have to' take the camshafts off to remove the heads, You can take the heads off with the cams in place. but depending on your plans it might be be a good idea as the guys above have suggested.
