So.

Since servicing my car recently and finding that the air box and induction seem super easy to change and/or modify, here's my question.

There are Growler kits by various brands (pod filter/non pod filter)

THEN. What about HSV air box/inductions? If I was to get one through a wrecker, would it do just the same? fit etc (to a V6) same question goes for a standard V8 (non HSV) kit. Let me know! Show me some snaps of the basic engine bay mods youMve made! otr, pods, I wanna see it all!

cheers!

Personally, i would either get the HSV VY lower air box which has the side corner air mouth.. this looks heaps more factory.

Other than that, getting a Mace cold air intake would be the next choice.

How would installing that go with different engines? (VY/VZ) ?

Mace CAI is an OTR set up right? Should I match this with mafless tune before or after extractors/exhaust?

The HSV VY lower airbox has nothing to do with the engine or piping, it literally just replaces the bottom half of the airbox, the top half stays as is.

Take a look at this pic, from another post on the forum.

No, the Mace CAI replaces the airbox entirely with it being able to draw air from behind the headlight while still retaining the use of the opening the snorkel connected to.

Here is the link to MACE for the VZ.

No, as the Mace replaces the airbox entirely.

Take a look at this link, its the Mace installation instructions, you'll understand what i mean then.
