Hi all

My lcd is stuffed on my dash and I am going to replace he cluster asap. From all the reading I have done, i can replace it with any VZ cluster BUT if it has done over 100km then Holden will not code it/change km's to match my current cluster.

This time last year i was chatting to someone on this forum who had a tech2 that would do the coding for me but I can no longer get hold of them, is there anyone near Brisbane that will code a cluster for me?

Car is 05 SV8 manual.

Cheers guys

Once you are over 100km no one with a Tech2 can change the odometer, not even Holden themselves.

Im certainly no expert in this particular area so happy to be corrected. I thought that Holden WONT change the km's a cluster over 100km's rather than CANT due to people trying to reduce the km's on a car. I thought that read on here that people have coded clusters with Tech2 a number of times to match their own km's? Maybe people were using something other than a Tech2?

No, can't. A legal feature manufactured into the cluster by Arrow. It is illegal to change it so it was designed to never be changed.

There is a way, but it involves specialised equipment and only a few people do it.

Thanks for the clarification acarmody - makes sense when you think about it. Ok, is there anyone in/near Brisbane that can help programme a cluster if I find one with less than 100km's on it?

Obviously I would be happy to reimburse them for there troubles and expertise .

Thanks

AndyMac
