VZ suspension rattle

My VZ has suddenly developed a rattle in the left front suspension, rattles & clunks even on minor road ripples. Is it the sway bar links?

Mine has been doing that the last few weeks in the right front. Not clunks but a high rattle over bumps, like loose change. 3 different tyre/suspension places are unable to find the source. Somebody on here suggested the anti-rattle plates in the calipers, but it does it even with the brakes applied (see my thread). Top strut bushes and bearings were replaced when I had it lowered a couple of month ago.

That said, I'm getting the link pins replace with Nolathane ones tomorrow so I'll let you know.
