Okay. This finally happened (pretty sure it's inevitable) Can't seem to find any sort of info on what to do or how to do it? I'm guessing I need to pull the whole wheel off yes? Would this involve unhooking the battery?

Let's talk about it! CHEERS!

Yes, disconnect battery , take wheel off. It's not inevitable IMO.

I thought it would happen a lot? I must change volume UP too much! hahaha

OOPS!

Okay, next thing I need is tips on standard h/u's, do they ALL have security codes that come up after you reconnect the battery?

Security code does not "come up" . It has to be entered.

I have done this, took maybe 20-30 minutes. Pretty sure there is a 'how to' on here but basically do this:

Note: The controls are bought as a pair i.e you cant just buy the right side.

1. Disconnect battery and leave for 20 minutes (better safe than sorry).
2. Remove SRS fuse (under dash)
3. There are 4 clips holding the airbag on the back of the steering wheel, they unclip with a small flathead driver (move clip to the outside of the wheel to disengage). Note - It is easiest to do one side, then the other, rather than top / bottom.
4. Remove airbag and connecting wires. Place it FACE UP somewhere.
5. Unplug and remove controls (2 screws each) and burn them.
6. Install new controls and connect everything. Just a reverse of disassembly of course.

Have to correct you Baba. No, you do not have to take the wheel off and for VY/VZ, if you use the controls breakage is a matter of when, not if. It's usually the +vol one too :/

Please don't blame me if something goes amiss. The 'how to' is on here somewhere I'm sure. Airbag just pushes/clips on.

*EDIT* Found this 'how to' with pics. It is for removing the steering wheel so you only need the first few steps to do the controls. https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/guide-removing-vy-vz-steering-wheel.79695

You can fix yours and it’s easy. I posted pics.

Super glue. Then hot glue along the seams of where it bends.

Found plenty of complete new and used switch sets on ebay. This is just one of them. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/STEERIN...631256?hash=item56c86ad218:g:rIIAAOSwa~ldRPfa
All the new sets currently advertised are Black.
Can't find any brand new silver/grey ones but there are some second handers available.
I did what others have done, pull the broken button skin out and repair it.
