When driving with my air con on its cutting out when I accelerate and when I take my foot off the pedal it resumes as normal. I've fitted a new battery but still does it. My VZ svz doesn't do it.

Here is a good start for the AC cutting out problems.

Berlina/Calais have an electrical vacuum manifold system for AC functions as they have climate control. The standard AC has a manually driven manifold system for AC functions.

Not sure if all models have it but some commodores are designed to cut the AC at full throttle and start up again when you release the throttle to protect the AC system and give better acceleration.
Is yours only cutting out at full throttle or during normal driving ?

Cuts out during normal driving conditions. If I slowley accelerate say 70 to 75 it still cuts out. It doesn't actuall cut out. It sounds like it's blowing out thru the Demister vents
