I recently bought a VZ V6 Acclaim & the fan works but turning the selector knob doesn't do anything. The air only goes up to the front windscreen. I've currently got the dash surrounds out & everything seems to be connected. Any ideas? I've had a look at some other threads that seem to indicate a vacuum leak. Are there any common failure points? Not quite sure where to start in diagnosing a possible vacuum leak...

Edit: I found the tiny vacuum hose that has the one way valve was not connected to the back of the inlet manifold. Reattaching it didn't fix the problem.

Sorted. There were 2 problems.
1. Vacuum hose in inlet manifold not connected
2. Vacuum supply hose not connected to vent selector dial. I used the info in this link to help trace the hoses.

Here are the images from the link in case the link dies.

Is the one way valve backwards??

Valve was on OK but while i was checking it I realised the heater tap valve looks like it should be replaced so thanks for making me check!
