Hand brake won't engage.

If I pull the handbrake up nothing happens it just falls back in to position. I have a XY S series 2. I figure it's either a broken cable or the ratchet is not engaging. Any clues anyone.

had the same problem need to get a new hand brake assembly was about $75 from wreckers

they wear the teeth from people ripping them up to hard.. 6-8 clicks not 34 FFS...

another common one is the button gets stuck.. but as hangman said, does it work when held up.. no = cable, yes = button or teeth...
