Hi

Is there a way to remove the lower front bar mesh/plastic without taking the front bumper off?

Yes it should come off once you release the plastic clips (Holden seem to have a liking for them) from behind. Take your time, don't force and you should achieve total success without any breakages. Good luck.

takes 5 mins to take the bumper off so if you get stuck, it's not that hard and might just be quicker than ####ing around without removing it.
just letting you know in case you've never done it before, cheers.

You really should remove the bar.
