VZ 5 speed auto gearbox removal HELP

hi guys just been quoted $4200 for a gearbox reco, there's no way im paying that so i managed to pick up a second hand gearbox for fairly cheap,

can anyone help me in the gearbox removal process, there doesn't seem to be a inspection plate to remove to get access to the torque converter bolts, does that mean i have to undo them through the starter motor hole,
any help would be appreciated.

a list of gearbox removal procedure would be nice, and how to access the torque converter bolts?, and anything else i should know.

What makes you think there is no inspection plate? have you looked?

I'd suggest buying a workshop manual.

hey guys IM stuck on the torque converter tried pulling the gearbox of the torque converter and flex plate, but it wont budge, really wanted to swap the gearboxes today can anyone help me with the torque converter bolts PLEASE
