I just bought an alloy otr for ls1 with the maf sensor in it, I was wondering if i could fit this otr plugging in the maf till i get it tuned or does it need to be mafless?

Also on my stock airbox it has that hose in the close up photo and not really sure what that is for and where it would go on the alloy otr?

thanks for your help

That sensor in the side of the OTR is the IAT sensor not the Maf. Unfortunately that is a mafless OTR you wont be able to run it till you get it Mafless tuned. The Maf is the big round sensor in the intake next to your stock airbox

hose looks like a rocker cover vent hose, you'll need to plumb that to the otr or a catchcan.

Just make a small hole in the OTR to accommodate it.

As others have said, you don't have a MAF sensor so won't be able to fit it onto your car until you get a MAFless tune done. You will also probably need some pigtail leads for the IAT sensor to be spliced into the IAT cable to extend it it a bit. Your tuner should have these though. As others said that's a vent hose, so just find a way to hook it up to your OTR. I just got a 3/8" barb put on mine but there are probably easier ways like drilling a hole and a rubber grommet and just feed the hard plastic tube into the OTR.

I have basically the exact same setup.

I have a sensor on my stock airbox looks like it will fit in that plug on the otr? I think the car has been tuned before so would it have that IAT sensor yous are talkin about?

IAT sensor is the one on the right in the pic above, you will have one connected to your stock intake too, but usually it's not long enough to reach the OTR.
I needed a small pigtail extention which is spliced into the wiring harness just next to the stock plug, so I can return to stock in future if I want to.

They are pretty cheap on ebay, my tuner also had some available.

edit: not sure if 6L is different, your ride says 6L but OP says 5.7L. pic above and link relevant to 5.7
