Hi all,
Seeking opinions for an affordable way to fill the bootlid holes on a VZ.

Tried the cheap alternative of using rubber grommets and did not like the result at all..
Looking into a few options as such;
-Welding
-A filment cover-up of some sort
-Clean bootlid with no holes and spraying it (impulse blue..)

Would appreciate any information regards to pricing and the finished result.
Cheers!
J

cheapest and easiest way is just have a panel beater fill the holes and spray the boot lid and then you also need to put a rear brake light on the rear window to be legal since all VZs came with 3 brake lights except utes.

or a complete boot from the wreckers.

either way is pretty cheap.

Might be a cheaper option to get an impulse blue boot lid from wreckers , panel and paint can get quite expensive .

amateurs...
bash the holes with a hammers so you have some area for the bog to stick.. Liquid nails in a coin or washer, what ever fits the best.. this is so the bog wont just all fall thru the hole, then and bog that **** up...

if you can paint it yourself, sweet, if not then the panel shop will be your biggest expense.. But personally id see if I could get some paint mixed up and chucked into a aerosol can... that way you have some touch up as well..

good call on the rear brake light above thou.
