Alloytecs & a/market filters

Anyone installed an aftermarket filter into their alloytec 175 or 190? I've heard conflicting reports about using aftermarket filters such as K&N/king dragon basically any filter that needs oiling. Good or bad?

I have installed a BMC panel filter in my 190 and i definantly noticed a performance increase, and a more throaty roar under heavy acceleration.
I give it two thumbs up.

I have installed a K/N and though I cant hear an increase in induction noise it most definetly has increased my acceleration and fuel economy.

Don't know if Holden use similar flow sensors, but my previous car did not like any oil type of filters, evidently some of the oil becomes a mist and gathers on the airflow sensor, and the very small particals then stick to it and block the holes in the sensor. Then engine then cannot regulate feul flow correctly.
