Evening all,

Just finished bolting a vz crewman back together after buying it in bits, hit a bit of a snag... won't start, Will turn over, but won't fire, so after triple checking all connections I have deduced I need to see what fault codes are coming up. The manual I have says a OBDII scan tool is needed, ok easy enough to buy, but is it the only or best way to go about it?

thanks in advance
Bruce C.

I can't remember the site exactly and but Google scantool Australia and take your pick, been told it's not recommended but I'm thinking of getting a wifi plug that connects to my iPhone for $120, reads and clears codes plus you can leave it plugged in if you want. If you have a laptop, you might benefit from a wired connection, something like $30 from memory. there could/should be fault codes showing up and depending on what it is, they might need to be cleared.
Also have you checked you're getting fuel through?

Thanks for that info DMack am going to look into a dedicated programme and USB link, had an epiphany this morning, wrong relay in engine management spot, was a narva spotlight one, replaced with genuine one and car fired instantly and settled into a steady if not noisy (R exhaust pipe not mating squarely, and belt tensioner bearing sounds dodgy) everything is working so far, just need to clear service and SRS messages.
