I have a 2.5" twin catback on my vz tonner. Its sounds like crap and uses alot of fuel is this the wrong one...

IMO, 2.5" is too big for V6 and well XForce have a rep for sounding like crap anyway.

without spending a lot of money is I guess subjective.

a stocko exhaust will be the cheapest option because you'll be able to offload the xforce - you'd probably need to talk to an exhaust shop - they might even be able to modify the catback with a different muffler or something.

JC Exhaust guru naf can guide you best but at the end of the day my opinion is 2.5" is too big for the V6 - I have a dual 2.5" on my LS1 and I wouldn't go bigger. on that even.
