I've had my SS 6lt Crewman for two years now and haven't had any issues with using oil or running hot in fact even as far as fuel economy it's pretty damned good, I've had a couple of issues lately with wear and tear things like the Heater Tap breaking, Start Motor playing up occasionally and the Crank Angle Sensor becoming faulty but in day to day running it's a very reliable car, I'm not sure how they go with modifications mines got an OTR air intake but that's about the only mod. The guy at the tyre shop said they tend to go through suspension rubbers on the front end but that could just be the setup he has on his.
