Had water leak into my VZ ute behind the drivers seat, when i braked the water sloshed forward into my shoes and the airbag srs warning came up on my dash. Mentioned it to my mechanic who tried to reset it but it just kept coming on again,he said it was just a faulty seat sensor, hes been threatening to replace the sensor for the last 3 services, but its just not a happening thing, always some excuse not to do it, so i thought i would have a go myself.

Pulled out the seat, i can only see 2 connectors 1 for the seatbelt sensor (yellow) and a 12vdc supply for the seat motors (white), what am i missing, is there anything under the mat maybe ?

Thanks in advance

Mick

Scan tool can help reset the pre-tensioner warning, mine had the same until yesterday, SRS kept coming up, I assumed it was airbag, wrong assumption. My long suffering best mate is a bit of a whizz with vehicle diagnostics, 30 seconds and he had it sussed, 2 minutes later he had it reset.
