Hey guys, long time reader, first post.
I have recently bought a vz ssz as project car, i am 75% finished however my speedo is out around 15 to 20km/h.
does anyone know how that can be and what i need to do to fix this issue? the speed difference is only a guess (i drove behind a friend at 100km/h, i was doing 81 on my speedo)

thanks

1. Your friend's speedo may be out !!!

2. Does your vehicle have standard size wheels and tyres ? If not that could be contributing factor.

3. Most if not all vehicles manufactured in Australia have a speedo that is fast. Commodores are typically 3 - 5 km/ph fast. So if you speedo is showing 65 km/ph you may be only travelling at 60 - 62 km/ph.

Grab a GPS and use that to check your speedo. Most of them are fairly accurate.

My speedo was out about the same when I upgraded the diff gears, went from 3.07 to 3.9

Just find a tuner, they will recalibrate it for you
