Hi All,

When going downhill with my foot off the gas I hear a shuddering sound from the front of the car. It only happens when going downhill with my foot off the gas. Has anyone experienced something similar or know what it might be? It seems to be coming from the middle of the car and not one particular side.

Get your suspension and all mechanical mounts (bolts etc) checked by a competent person. Something 'might' be about to fall off !

Uni joint or centre bearing on the driveshaft potentially. Downhill with the foot off the juice means gravity is driving and accelerating the car which may explain the conditions.

You can reach under and grab the tailshaft, give it a good shake, shouldn't move much, if it does rattle around might be time to replace both unis and the centre bearing.
