VZ 2005
Hi all

The exterior black molding strips on my 2005 VZ Commodore keep coming loose. This is believe it or not a major problem as they then catch in the door jam.

I have had my service mechanic have a go at it twice, but it keeps coming loose again and again.

I have had the car since 2007 and as I love it I feel it is a shame to have to dispose of it for such a problem.

Any suggestions on permanently attaching the door strips - should I take the inner door moldings off and metal screw through from the inside? What have others done?

I am not too fussed about aesthetics. I would remove the strips altogether, but I have seen from other comments/posts that this leaves a lot of hard to remove glue behind...

Thanks in advance for any advice, eamarti

Sikaflex worked for me ... Might have to tape the strip on while it dries properly... The double sided tape usually used by holden to hold it on is rubbish .
