Okay so I have an 05 SV6 with pacemaker headers, hi-flow cats and an xforce catback
It sounds really tinny at high revs and has a really quiet idle
Are there any mods I can do to give it a bit of a better note? I know most of you are just going to tell me to get a v8 but I'm still 2 years away from that and I wanna have some fun with what I've got so far.

Here's the exhaust

That exhaust looks the same as the one I have on my ss. It's just the alloytec it's hard to make them sound good unfortunately. There's probably some better catbacks out there the xforce is just too loud.

I'm alright with loud, I just wanna see if there are any mods I can do to make it idle a little louder and get rid of that tinny sound
I've seen a few alloytec's around where I live who have what I want but I've never gotten the chance to ask

Loud on an Alloytec would also mean drony as hell, don't do that.

Get a 6cyl turbo, they don't sound tinny.
Nah, jokes, get a V8.

p.s and that is NAAF. He sells exhausts. He's worth chatting with if you haven't already.

If your SV6 is a sedan, then yes, it can sound better than the twin you have now. I do a Manta twin 2 1/4" into single 3" that isn't overly loud, it's nice and deep, no drone and doesn't have that shitty raspy quality the most alloytecs have with an aftermarket exhaust. I do this system for $495 shipped, will bolt straight up to your cats.
