VS 5.0L BT1
Hi everyone long time no post!!!
I've recently bought this car advertised as an 2006 VZ SV8 MY06, test drive of the car was fine and i noticed straight away no interior light and a couple of small screw holes near the steering. The owner only had it for 4 months and legitimately believed it was an SV8 only because it has an sv8 badge on the boot.
I never mentioned that it was most likely a police car as i still have my VS BT1 5ltr and love it!

He did a few things in the 4 months he had it but ended up wanting an F100 for his business, he had a vz ss diff put in as well as a stage 2 shift kit, genie extractors, hi-flo cats 2.5"twin system and SL kings.

Does anyone actually know how many there are of these L76's around and what did they have with the 924pack?

This car was a SA police car and has the servicing and owners manual from the year they used it :)
Any help would be great as id love to keep all the original police bits.

what are the front brake disk diam , if it's a VZ 6L it should have the larger disks and calipers ? didn't think steel rims are large enough for the front brakes?

Hi Mate,

This car is very rare if its a genuine Executive L76, Apparently there was meant to be 30 built for the police as a fill in order till the VE came out but only 28 were delivered and put into service - 14 went to SA and other 14 went into service in QLD. The 924 PACK - 9-(Police) 2 (L76) 4 (4 Speed auto 4L65E heavy duty). It got all the standard features of a vz exec plus the 9C1 police pack which included rear electric windows, map lights, sump gaurd, FE2, LSD, Trac control, dual horns, police mode set on dash, 15x7 chasers or if it was a QLD chaser got optioned with HBD 17" wheels and has a HSV sticker inside drivers door stating this

I was told my car was a ex police car from Qld when I bought it, its a 2006 VZ SS Ls2, there is a couple screw holes in the drivers side pillar I am guessing from a radar or something, its currently parked up with a knocking sound lol, possibly lifter failure. Only done 135000kms.

LS2 engines were only found in HSV vehicles. Yours will be L76 if it is a 6lt.

If it has the 9C1 pack should have working map lights on both side of the interior light and a light lock out switch just below the power windows switches, won't have 924 on the compliance plate as it's an ss should be 824
