Engine replacement

Just wondering if replacing the motor in my vz sv6 weather a ve ly7 motor will fit nicely as well?

Call Holden, they will confirm, will have to replace the BCM, ECU and lots of other parts. Not an easy job.

The sump is different between the VZ and VE.

(After doing more research) I think I need a 05 model ly7 motor as in January 06 things got changed ie. Timing chain and some sensors went from analog to digital so the ecu needed a upgrade to match the engine

Do you know if you can still buy a crate engine for this model?

I'm learning towards a complete engine rebuild the whole box and dice
