Hi guys,

I'm getting some work done on the car from a well know and repratable performance shop. Just wondering what you think of the price?

$3000 Cam Package including service with plugs and Dyno tune

$1200 Lifters replaced with head gaskets, head bolts and rocker cover gaskets

$700 Melings Oil pump fitted whilst doing other work

$450 Under driven balancer kit fitted whilst doing other work

$290 02 Sensors and leads

$280 Engine mounts fitted

I think the price is somewhat high but, I think they are covering themselves a little if there are other little problems along the way.

Prices all seem on the high side. Motor would be coming out of the car and going on a stand so it would make access a lot easier for them.

I'd do some research on parts prices of what they're doing and then once you've got an approximation of that you can work out the labour rate/markup they may be putting on.
