Help please with K&N oil filter

G day...Im new to the forum, so hello to all..... Bought my first VZ Ute SS and need some help with a new oil filter which I have. Its a K&N HP 1017 wrench off.


I think it fits the 6.0 VE L98...Can I ask if the HP 1017 will fit my V8 L76 6.0 Gen 4

This is obviously a ryco filter but this lists bothe l76 and l98 so i am guessing this filter fits both

Yes, I found the ryco z663 is a direct swap for the HP 1017

it confused me ...the K&N website only gives the Black pro series for VZ with L76. Any guys out there using the K&N 1017 on there L76 ??? otherwise I will go the pro series I guess...just like the wrench off for easy oil change.

Just interested to know what is the benefit of the k&n oil filter over a regular ryco filter?

Not much I guess...I was given a new K&N as a freebie hp1017. me mate thought it may fit my VZ Ute but no.... its for the VE L98 I have now been told...Im not sure if the ryco range has a wrench off but K&N 1007 does....which I like for easy take off. Anyway I contacted K&N and ordered the one that I need for me L76...have it Saturday.
