I'm stumped

Hey guys, I need some help, my 05 vz 6 banger has decided it doesn't want to play anymore. The check powertrain warning came on out of no where and its gone into limp home mode. I have taken it to a mechanic and they hooked it up to there computer and its not showing any codes to say what is wrong with it and after about 2 hours of trying to figure out what was wrong they threw their hands up and said burn it lol. Has anyone had this problem or know of anyone who has had this happen to them that might be able to shed some light on what is wrong with my car. Thanks in advance

What are its symptoms? It's now only running in limp mode? Wont start, wont idle, misses?

First thing Id try is unplug the ABS module in engine bay and see if it comes good and you get codes back...
