I heard from a friend that you can buy reprogrammed ecu's cheap on the net (100). I haven't looked into it yet but im told they come with a higher shift rev and better fuel economy on cruise. Anyone heard of this. If so ....any good ? And can you just plug and play?

Would be better if you could provide a link. But just on that description I would say no, not good.

I agree RJK. Use extreme caution buying any kind of parts from ebay. I have heard the Castle Hill Performance can supply you with a flash tune and cable to connet to your vehicle to allow you to flash tune your ecu. It costs about 500.

But when a dyno tune is only $300 more, surely you're better off going that way if you're in Sydney.
