Hi folks,

Have been searching for a couple of weeks and not come up with much so hope someone can help.

About a month ago I very nearly ran out of fuel.
Filled up and a short drive down the road I get "Check Powertrain" warning.

It goes a way and comes back a couple of days later.
Now its just there every time.

The car is running like a slug.
Eating fuel.

The on board diagnostic only has this logged and no other codes.

Tonight coming home from work I got increasingly frequent "check oil" come up.
Got the car home.
Plenty of oil.

So what's with that code?

*Have also read this, but not sure if its the same.

you will need a proper scan by the look of it I just googled the code and It could be the fuel pump sender unit , or maybe the ecu best google it yourself

Had someone take a look and was left scratching head.
3 codes came up.
Timing was something but he didn't believe it after listening to the car.
2 relating to oil pressure was another.
He wasn't concerned by that because clearly the engine was getting oil. No nasty noises so he didn't feel confident any of the codes were actually legit. He was certain something is going on.

Rough idle but smooth with revs.

It does make a strange quiet whine as if something going in or out is blocked or maybe some kind of air leak, hard to pin point where it's from. Certainly the passanger side of engine bay.

A pulley was a bit noisey but not going to cause serious trouble or throw a fault code.

Cleared the fault codes & went for a drive. Of course nothing came up. Car performed the same. Like a slug.

He goes.
I start car
Of course car throws a "check power train" warning.

I realised today that the strange code is simply a binary code. I may not have all the 1's and 0's on the screen, nor the ability to see them using the onboard diagnosis.

I have seen mentioned that binary codes can appear when there are incompatibility issues with replaced instrument clusters and radios, bcm's/ecu's etc.
I my case, I have a cluster from a Calais fitted to my Exec version of the Crewman.
