Hey, i've got a vz commodore with the 190kw motor, it was overheated 3-4 months ago (no idea how hot it got, wasn't driving it). It appears i've now got a coolant leak into the oil. Nothing major it appears, the oil in the sump is still the right colour however its all through the PCV hoses and on the oil cap. The cooling system on the car was also filled with incorrect coolant that has corroded all the rubber bits in the cooling system (radiator cap, killed a second radiator cap in 3 months, heater tap etc.) Is it possible the water leak is from the gasket on the inside of the timing cover? Just curious as the alternative is a head gasket and thats almost 100% scrap the car as its already got close to 400k on it and it wont get $4k spent on it.

Tl;dr: what are common points for water to leak into the oil bar the head gaskets on an alloytec

Remote chance that it could be the coolant is leaking through corroded internals, or cracked head etc. Good luck with it.
