VZ Executive Wagon
G'day guys,

My 05 VZ wagon has started making quite a decent clicking sound that increases with the revs out of the engine. It will only occur when the car is running on LPG and is not heard at all when the car is running on petrol. Oil levels, water levels etc. are all normal, no leaks, nothing else suss at this stage.

Any ideas what it might be?

Cheers.

This reply is more to satisfy my own interest. Is your lpg a gm, ie factory install or after market? The owners manual is emphatic about its advice not to install lpg on a non lpg motor. The non lpg motors are subject to serious or fatal engine damage by running them on lpg. I have a sneaking suspicion[it is to do with compression ratio's. If it is, your engine noise could be detonation/pinging ... but then it could be just a shot lifter, stretched timing chain or a number of other options. I hope for your sake you solve the mystery soon./SIZE]
