Anyone rebuilt the alloytec with spool or other brands forged rods and pistons? Ive seen packages avalible for around 2k and you can choose different compression pistons. Im going to be rebuilding quite soon and am thinking of going forced induction later on. Anyone used a lower compression piston eg- 9:1 or 8:1 instead of stock 10:1 for turbo or charger setups. Would be interested to see if lower compression enabling higher boost would see better rwkw results than whats been made by anyone whos slapped a charger or turbo on these alloytecs. Also anyone know the highest boost people have ran with the stock internals and if they blew up what was the cause, like bottom end let go ect.
Cheers, harry.

Why not go E85 and keep the original compression? You won't get any denotation with corn fuel :)
