I have a 2005 vz commodore executive and the service reminder keeps going off. I've tried holding down the arrow keys and turning the ignition on and it says "service reset no items" I've had it service and the mechanic even put it on the computer but it still keeps showing up. I called up Holden and they want me to bring it in, for a simple reset it's $40 and if that's not the problem it will be $140 to run diagnostics. Can anyone help me with this problem?
Thanks

Too many
Will be the oil pressure sender playing up. Replace that, disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes and then you should be good to go.

Holden wanted $40.00 just for a reset? Boy they don't miss anything.

Is there a difference between buying an oil pressure switch on ebay then getting it off my mechanic besides the price?

If your mechanic is like most he will charge you top retail ++
Try holden dealer, repco, bursons, autobarn, maybe even superthief.
Phone around for a price and buy the cheapest.

Cheapest is NOT ALWAYS best !!! 'specially since it is an Oil Pressure Sensor - somewhat vital to the performance and reliability of the engine.
