Thank you. However DBA catalogue runs out at VY but if things are consistent thre is 2-3mm to play with between new disc rotors and time for replacement.
So I would expect that one oe maybe two machining episodes would see rotors need replacing. Either way I don't see why I should have my rotor life being shortened by someting that GM admits to under warranty .. even if they will only remedy by machining and not replacement.
Haven't heard back from dealer on the replacement claim (which he recommended by the way). If I don't get satisfaction on this one I'm off to consumer affairs.
Just as an aside, my daughter who knows very little about cars, drives a 1997 Toyota Corolla (Australian assembled) she has had since new, and had nothing but regular service and one tail light globe replaced in 135,000 km were discussing cars and warranty issues with Holdens. She plainly stated " Everyone who buys a Holden or a Ford expects problems. They are just crap cars"
And I thought she knew little about cars.
