VZ wagon
I have an 05 VZ wagon with 17 inch X 8 inch rims and 235/45 tires. They work well but look carp.
I want 18 inch rims as they look better in my opinion. I like the VY and VZ SS styles.

My doubts and questions are about fitment and rub on the body.
My car is standard ride height and assume the aforementioned rims would be a straight fit with no issues what so ever.

Am I thinking correctly?

Any comments or opinions welcome.

TIA

Confused about rims and tyre fitment ? Join my club.
If you haven't looked at my 'Monaro Rims' posts in the VY section, please do, and tell me how much clearance you have from the strut with 235/45 17s.

VY and VZ SS Rims will fit with no problems. Just make sure they are fitted with 235/40-18 tyres.
No dramas with rubbing on the body at all with standard height suspension either
They are a straight bolt on swap

Spot on, as long as you use the correct factory recommend tyre size on factory style rims than you won't have any issues with wheels fouling on body/suspension bits.

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
Have 19" VE rims on my VZ and it was a straight forward fit. Still standard ride height.
