2004 Exec muffler issue

Hi guys

A few weeks ago I had my Catalytics taken off cause they were knocking. Now there is a buzzing type rattle when I put my foot down. Local Holden garage have said it's an issue inside the middle muffler and needs to go to another garage to be sorted. Can I just replace the middle muffler myself or is it hard to do? Is someone able to supply a diagram if possible of the muffler sections? Any help would be great

I would say that because your cats were rattling, a piece has made it's way into the middle muffler. It is very straight forward to replace. 4 bolts at the front where it bolts to back of the engine pipes and a clamp at the rear just behind the diff where it attaches to the rear muffler.
