New ECU?

My VZ is coming up Check Powertrain, was starting every now and then but won't start now and says very low fuel and fuel gauge fault, tank is almost full. Got told I might need a new ECU...

yep sounds like common ecu fault, simple check you can do is bridge the fuel pump relay then the start relay (with the key on) if it starts and runs then it is a faulty ecu.
Guy where i work had the exact same thing and just bought a ecu, bcm and matching keys from a wrecked commodore, swapped them over and has been working ever since.
