Alloytec190 Exhaust Note

Could someone who has replaced their exhaust post up a sound file, i've heard mixed comments about the exhaust note if anyone could do it, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have a price of $1200 fitted for headers, cats & mufflers, dual 2.5 - they are claiming a 10KW gain, any thoughts?

I have an 05 SV6. It has a fairly complex exhaust. I jut got the resinator taken out and you can now hear it accelerate. Sounds Good.Due to laws, all four cats have to stay.

well theres such thing as tuning....its the same with anything, you open your exhaust you will lose power somewhere in your rev range and gain it in another spot

Well for starters... it's only got 6 cylinders so the cats are going to be unevenly fed if it has 4... and that can't be too good for exhaust flow (introducing streams moving at different speeds).

2 is normal... 4 is f*cking nuts on a v6.

theres also no need for 4 cat converters..... one on each pipe is enough to conrol emmissions sufficiantly

4 cats mate how much dust did you sniff before looking? Ive got a 05 sv6 and ive only got two. I cant say they put 4 on yours mate, and they run off your headers.

Guess what guys, he's right.

There are 4 catalytic converters on the SV6 (Alloytec 190) to meat euro emissions.

This is why the alloytec 175 became the 172 in January, 2 more cats were added.

I can take photos at some stage if you're interested. It goes headers -> Cats -> Secondary Cats -> Flange -> Mufflers -> Rear Resonator -> Tips.

I've got a twin 2.5" sureflo catback on mine, sounds good.
