Default New SS Thunder now in driveway

Hi fellow GM people. Picked my new work wheels up this morning. First impressions? Well heck it's a ute after all, but it's quiet, smooth, seats are extremely comfortable, and although it has those raised bits on the hard cover, visibility is extremely good. I also had it delivered with a tow bar, tub liner, blue overlocked SS mats, protectors, and Navman 520.

Just wish it had the note of a stock 253, with factory twin system!

I had my gallbladder removed on Monday, so I am not exacly up to heaps of driving just yet. Only 000,029 kms on the clock.

Just remember, that any car is just as good as the care you give it.

    Very very nice looking ute.

I'd lose the protectors though, an absolute pain in the a#% to wash it properly when you have those on. Mine has em, but only put them back on for road trips

    Very nice.
A question, what size spare do you get with the standard 18" now?

Yeap, Slugg, a copy of the e-mail would be handy, and thanks for the great pick-up too.

    Thanks

    Daza,

I understand on the SS an 18 inch alloy spare is supplied, making five of the same wheel being supplied.

I do understand that the Thunder S ute, with the same wheels gets the dodgy 15inch spare.

My VYII S only came with four alloys too.

Does this help? haven't taken a peek underneath as yet.

that "silencer" is an acoustic chamber for intake pulses and is worth 4KW more to the engine so Id be leaving it on

    Nice ute, looks great.

Yeah would be interested to hear if your dealer fitted the alloy foot rest cover. My ute didn't come with one either.

I was lucky enough to walk into a dealer test drive the ute and drive away in it 3 days later, after they had fitted the tub liner etc. Very impressed.

Nope, appears that some dealers will oblige and others wont. Another cost saver like the missing glove compartment light.

if the dealership doesnt seem to comply with the needs that should be there, i would go further and speak to someone in holden about it, my dad works for nissan motor company in the spare parts devision (actual nissan, not dealership) and he says to me, that if he decides to go in and buy a nissan motor car and he feels that he is being dodged with money or something he can actually go and speak to someone at his work which well then blast the crap out of them because they are not doing wat it should be.
