No Glovebox light in 2006 VZ

Hey guys.

I have just discovered this morning that apparently holden isn't putting in glovebox lights for the 06 VZ except for higher spec cars ie calais.

I thought they must have missed the light in my glovebox and asked the dealer to put one in this morning and he said sorry mate they don't come out in the 06 they don't even have the wiring there!

I have a mate with an 05 SSZ ute and he's got one in his.

Can somebody confirm this for me? Anyone with an 06 VZ SS got a glovebox light?

What a pain in the arse. 99% of the time i open the glovebox, I need the light. WHo knows why, but it is always night time when I open it! That sucks.

Yes they have deleted the glove box light and wiring harness connector on base models.

HA thats crap.... my base utes got one (05).... man wat tightorses! whats next to go? spare tyre? how bout carpet? or seatbelts, pretensioners and airbags - ah good ol days, simple and easy but hey they had a glovebox light back then!

Series II VZ's also don't have the alloytec badges on the fenders on the exec's/acclaims/SV6's/Berlinas and Calais..

Newer VZ exec's are missing that bump strip on the doors also.
